Hi, I’m Ashby,

Like many parents, I wanted childcare that felt safe, enriching, and personal. I saw that traditional daycare centers were often overwhelmed — too many children, not enough caregivers, and not enough space for kids to get the dedicated attention they deserve. The days began to feel less like a place for growth and exploration, and more like a system for managing large groups.

At the same time, traditional nannies — while loving and consistent — often lacked the enrichment and social experiences kids get from exploring the world together.

Curious Minds Nanny Co. was born from that gap — a service that combines the trust and consistency of a nanny with the enrichment and adventure of small-group learning in the community.

Why I do this

I believe children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and supported in small groups. That belief comes not just from research, but from experience as a parent / educator / caregiver.

I also love our Williamsburg community and believe kids should grow up feeling connected to it. That’s why our outings aren’t just fun activities — they’re a way for children to discover the parks, museums, libraries, and farms that make this place special. My goal is to help kids not only learn, but also feel like they are truly part of the community they’re growing up in.
